We like to do a year-end tot up what we've been playing on our shows during the year, it's interesting to see who's been the most popular. The same suspects seem to feature quite regularly but there are always some surprises too.

Ho ho ho, merry Christmas people, many happy returns from thee PVC shed. We've got a few seasonal songs dotted in with the usual mix this week plus some festive banter and the jingling of Santa's bells.
We very nearly didn't have a show for you at all due to a red wine and gin-inflicted power cut caused by a pissed Miggins hitting the off button on everything before we'd finished recording. We managed to salvage the majority of the show and tagged on a new ending, see if you can spot the join!
It's caper time! This is our penultimate show before the Xmas break so pull up a pew, grab a brew and enjoy the aural stew. Poet Laureate eat your heart out.
Come and listen to some records with Thee PVC, this week we have some rare Cliff Richard demos from his dynamic early '80s period along with a mega rare bedroom recording of Tina Turner's "Steamy Windows". If you shout loud enough we have a fantastic Chas and Dave session recorded at the Circus Tavern we can treat you to in a future show.
Piles of good records for you to get your ears excited today whether you dig punk, blues, jazz, garage, indie, hip hop or some African sounds there should be something here for you. Unless you like Bon Jovi or Miley Cyrus, then you're shit out of luck and have found yourself in the wrong place.
Download it here unless you are Andy Weber who may prefer to do it here! Don't think you'll get this special treatment every week sir!

We're back to full strength this week with Laggers returning from his sabbatical. We've got a whole heap of stuff we've never played before so hopefully you'll find a gem or two that are new to you.
Hello, PVC people! Welcome to the weekend, here are a selection of songs to tickle your noise-buds while you are enjoying that eyeball in your Martini.
We're back to regular transmissions after last week's Lou Reed tribute show, we hope you enjoyed our trawl through the music and influence of Lewis Reed.
We have all kinds of everything to titillate your lugs this week all presented in the regular booze-fuelled amateur way. Have fun folks, here is thee download.
I was lucky enough to be sent a promo of the debut LP by Mickey Gloss which comes out on 18th November through H Badger Records. It's called 'Astral Projections For The Kinetically Deranged' and you'll be able to get it on vinyl and digital download. I've had it on repeat since I first heard it and reckon it's one of the best LPs of the year so far. There's a definite late 70s post punk edge to proceedings mixed in with the contemporary Oz garagey sound that Eddy Current Suppression Ring and the UV Race do so well. It's the sort of thing I'd expect Goner Records to be releasing. Australian frontman Daniel left the east coast of Australia for London in 2011 and arrived slap bang in the middle of the chaos and disorder of the riots that summer. The sound reflects the anarchy and energy he suddenly found himself in, much like the UK bands who were mining a similar vein in the grey and grim late seventies. In tracks like the short, sharp, shock of 'Danny' you can even hear elements of early US hardcore. I'll be featuring tracks over the next few weeks on PVC shows, check out show #108 to hear first single 'Are You Happy'. The track 'Right Kind of Love' explores the notion of celebrity as something that needs to be explored, rather than accepted. The track is accompanied by a video posing as a documentary about Lindsay Lohan's life. It's pretty revealing....
I'm looking forward to seeing how much attention the LP picks up as I reckon it could make plenty of end of the year best-of lists if enough people get to hear it.
We thought that with the news of Lou Reed shuffling off this mortal coil on Sunday we'd dedicate this week's show to him. So what we've got is a mixture of Velvet Underground and solo stuff and some covers and a few bands who have been influenced by his work.
So much of what we regularly play on the show may not have sounded like it does had it not been for what Lou and the Velvet Underground put out.
We hope you enjoy what we've put together, here's the download.
Welcome to transmission 108, another trawl through the record boxes of three Pauls from Essex. As per usual we have a mix of old and new tracks for you to lend an ear to.
