Polyvinyl Craftsmen Transmission 165 - Struck Dumb For New Year

Happy New Year Polyvinyl People! Here's our last show of 2014 and it's something a bit different, we keep our pie-holes closed and let the music do the talking. It's a ready-made New Year's Eve party, if that's the kind of party you're throwing.

Anyway, whenever and wherever you listen enjoy the fact that there are no Herberts mumbling and burping between songs!

Thanks to all of you who've listened in this year, hope to have you along in 2015 too.

Polyvinyl Craftsmen Transmission 160

We'd like to dedicate this week's show to Ronald "Peachy" Muggeridge, who on this day 50 years ago invented the Wasp Vector Syringe. This invention and the subsequent development of the Bolton Pie Capacitator have had a huge impact on the way we live yet many people are unaware of the work he did ant the world famous Dandridge Kweef Institute.

It may only be the Numanoids among you who know his name in passing as Gary Numan was the first person to try and develop an automotive fuel injection system when he fitted the Wasp Vector Syringe in his Hillman Imp in the summer of 1974. His smash hit single "Cars" was written as a tribute to the great man.

If you want to learn more Google it, it's a fascinating story.

Enough history, here's transmission 160.

Polyvinyl Craftsmen A-Z Playlist

So, for some reason this week we haven't managed to get together to record a show. Not sure why, a mixture of holidays, work stuff and general lack of communication really.

What I've put together as a last minute fill-in is a Spotify playlist from A-Z of the first band/artist that came into my head for each letter. I then picked a song by each of them, as it was quick and off the top of my head there is a ton of stuff that's never head a PVC airing before. I take full responsibility for the track listing as Laggers and Miggins weren't involved. If you don't like the mix it's all down to me.

Hopefully we'll be more organised next week and things will be back to normal.

If you can't get it to play below go here A-Z Playlist
