Polyvinyl Craftsmen Transmission 100 - Win! Win! Win!

100 shows! Our first transmission was back in February 2011 so it's taken us about two and a half years to get to our century.

To celebrate the milestone we have an extended show as well as a vinyl prize for one lucky winner.

Thanks to all our listeners wherever you are in the world, it's been a blast sharing our ever-expanding record collections with you. #100 is a mixture of some favourite songs from past transmissions plus something special.

We'd love to know who is listening in out there so to tempt you to get in touch we've got a competition. If you look at the track listing below you'll notice that there are twelve missing songs. All of Coop's songs are cover versions, so what we want you to do is tell us who is singing each of the covers and who recorded the original. There's a point for each answer giving a possible total of 24 points. Some of them are pretty easy, others not so. If anyone gets full points it's a fair bet that you've had some help from the interweb!

So that other people can't see your answers we want you to send your answers to us via a private message at the Polyvinyl Craftsmen Facebook page. We'll give you until 30th September to get your answers over to us. If we get a dead heat we will contact those people with a suitably daft tie-breaker. The winner will be announced in the first show we record after the closing date and on our Facebook page.

The prize is:

  • A test pressing of the first Wobbly Lamps EP with a one of a kind hand finished sleeve
  • Split 7" EP by Indian Wars and Primitive Hands on Goodbye Boozy/Sprut & Rags Records,
  • Killed By One Man Band! 7" on Drunk 'n' Roll/ Squoodge records (with an amazing 15 tracks!)
  • Jumping Jack Flash/ Monkey Man 7" by Dave "Baby" Cortez and Lonnie Youngblood on Norton Records from their Rolling Stones covers series
  • Hipbone Slim and the Kneetremblers 7" EP on Kizmiaz Records
  • Original 1975 Slade "Popstar Watchits" Letraset Action Transfers. Super kitsch and super rare!
So get listening and scribbling down those answers.
